CHAPTER 4. THE PRIMARIES TAKE OVER

The colossal blast of the impact was heard across the Astral system. The deafening sound was a beautiful symphony for the Primaries affirming to them that their plan had indeed succeeded. Zerk immediately sprang into action taking charge of a band of primaries and preparing to capture and execute the dragons that remained on Prima. This was the beginning of the bloody and ruthless reign and expansion of the primaries. They now had all the technology of the dragons at their disposal. They made sure to keep a sufficient number of dragons as slaves in order to learn and get better control over the dragon technologies. The Primaries had one more shot at glory, and Zerk was at the center of it. Zerk knew that the only to conquer and maintain control over the whole Astral system was to unite all the Primaries under one central leadership, his leadership. So Zerk set about the task of rounding up all the primary factions under his own leadership.

Zerk had done it, he had actually taken down the ever so mighty dragon empire, and all the primaries revered him for it. Most Primary factions submitted to Zerk’s authority with little to no resistance. The few that remained had two choices; either join Zerk’s army or die, naturally all chose to join Zerk’s army. Zerk, with the help of his armies, gradually started taking control first over prima, his own planet and then, thanks to the technology of the Dragons and the wisdom and guidance of the dragon slaves, started looking towards Dortha and Decca.

The impact with the moon had left Motherland totally devastated and practically uninhabitable. A sizable chunk of the planet now floated around in space leaving a massive gaping hole in the surface of the planet extending deep into the mantle reaching the outer edges of the core. Motherland was no longer Motherland; the primaries had instead named it Metaplanet-zero. Although the dragons had been too late to save themselves from the attack, nature had given them some survival capabilities unique to them. As they saw the moon approaching, the dragons closest to the Queen had surrounded her from all sides forming a cocoon made of their own bodies. Starting with the closest the dragons had kept on gathering around the queen until she was completely surrounded by a protective shell of thousands of dragons.

Moments before impact, the moon’s gravity had started pulling everything towards itself and one could almost experience a feeling of weightlessness in the final moments of the surface of MP-Z. This intense gravitation pull upwards had caused all the creatures of MP-Z to come out of their underground hiding, almost as if to witness their own demise in all its splendor. All the Razors spread across MP-Z were also caught off guard as they had received no advance warning before the attack. The Razors all came out and waited for death, but everything that killed the dragons and all the other matter-based creatures served only to make the Razors stronger. Although the Razors caught in the immediate vicinity of the impact zone all perished, most Razors away from the impact zone survived. It was finally the time of the Razors to rule over MP-Z. The entire Metaplanet was under their command with no power to rival their authority. So began the Razors rampage of MP-Z, the Razors were quick to kill of any survivors and exploit and plunder whatever remained of MP-Z.

AFTERMATH OF THE IMPACT

            When Queen Aurora, now the last remaining dragon of Herculean descent came to, she found herself inside of a shattered sphere made of the broken and burnt up bodies of her dearest family and most loyal subjects. She could feel an immense pain in her body. She could feel her wings broken, battered. The damage done to the Queen went much deeper than her broken body, what had actually broken was her spirit, her will to survive. She could barely walk and felt extremely weak, having a whole moon fall on you would do that to you. With what little strength she could muster, she dug and crawled her way under the surface, where she planned to spend her remaining days. She was devastated, the once mighty queen had been turned into a bruised, battered, bleeding and powerless lump of flesh.

This was the first time in her life that Queen Aurora had felt the blows of war first hand. Never had she been exposed like this before and this feeling of fragility and vulnerability was totally foreign to her. In what seemed like an instant, the once all-powerful Queen had lost everything, one cannot even begin to imagine what she must have been going through.

The Dragons that remained on Dortha and Decca all united, assembled on Dortha and started assembling an army in preparation for the oncoming attack. Decca had mostly research facilities and was used by the dragons purely for research purposes to study the lives of the creatures inhabiting it.

The Razors now roamed free on MP-Z. All the Razors on Prima, and Decca wanted to return to MP-Z as victors, as rulers. The Dragons had conducted a massive search operation for any remaining Razors on Dortha and captured them. The primaries were not interested in letting the Razors go, therefore they had rounded up all the Razors they could find on Prima in an effort to weaponize them and employ them in the oncoming attack against the Dragons on Dortha.

…………………………………….. The Astral system was a disaster. The Primaries were preparing armies for the oncoming attack against the last remaining dragon stronghold at Dortha. The Primaries now had complete control over all the Dragon technologies and they had forced the enslaved dragons to help them further advance in military technology. The primaries had kept the dragons in specially designed prison cells. Draining their blood and performing experiments on it, including injecting themselves with it in order to get stronger, but all such experiments had proved to be failures. Their interaction, subjugation and subsequent education by the dragons had made the current generation of Primaries much smarter than their ancestors had been. The primaries now knew that in order to defeat the remaining dragons and become an interplanetary dominant species, they needed to have a strict, well-defined hierarchal system in their society.

Zerk the standing leader of the Primaries organized the primaries under a very strict hierarchy. He appointed lieutenants and Generals to lead the various divisions and sub-divisions of the Primaries with all reporting directly to him. Zerk also rounded up as many, if not all the Razors on Prima in preparation for the oncoming attack against Dortha. Zerk knew he needed to act fast. Before the dragons could get a chance to multiply and get stronger.
