CHAPTER 6. ASTRAL system under the PRIMARIES {contd..}

The Primaries had proven to be the selfish creatures they had always been. Just like they had done with their paradise of a planet, so had they ravaged and ruined the entire Astral system. The strongest faction Nora had completely taken over Prima, expelling and killing all other factions from Prima. Their mining adventures on Prima-ces and Prima-tres had cost them dearly, they had exhausted most of Prima’s natural resources and were reliant totally upon the resources mined from Prima-ces and Prima-tres which they would trade for raw-materials from Dortha and Decca. Nora had effectively taken control over 90% of interplanetary travel, discouraging and attacking any other space faring factions. This had left the rest of the factions to limit themselves to the planets they had settled upon. They didn’t actually feel any need for interplanetary travel either. Nora had banned them from Prima and there wasn’t really anywhere else they wanted to go.
Nora on the other hand, short of man power, was stretched thin and was barely hanging on. Their mining adventures had left them totally reliant on the other factions for food and other raw materials. They traded what little they mined from the mining planets for food and other supplies from the factions on Dortha and Decca. On Dortha, Reel, tren and Sect had combined to form a single faction, naming the new mega faction Smetha. Smetha had been using the Mudders as slaves. They put the Mudders through the worst treatment they could imagine, working them through the day and night, barely feeding them and giving them little time to rest. The Mudders, though exhausted, were up for the task at seemed to easily handle whatever Smetha threw at them.
On Decca, Melog, Thresa and Forte were also stretching thin. Upon arriving on Decca, the factions had been quick to demark large chunks of the planet and divide it among themselves, with each faction relocating to their assigned territory. The factions had all tried to take control over as much land as they could in lust for resources and riches but had come out short. The land area of Decca was beyond anything the primary factions had anticipated. The terrain was rough, hostile and never ending. Water was abundant, sometimes just inches below the surface, but the major volume of water remained buried deep within the surface. The native species of Decca had no problem extracting the water but the problem was posing to be a major threat to the primary factions on Decca. The Primaries were used to a paradise of a planet and as such were unprepared to tackle such a hostile terrain. Melog and Thresa were barely surviving, they could harness just enough water to maintain survival, nothing more. Forte had succumbed to the hostility of Decca and had fallen. The handful of remaining primaries of Forte had begged Melog and Thresa to accept them into their factions in exchange for all of their land and resources, but both the factions had denied. Melog and Thresa, both saw it wiser to wait for the remaining primaries of Forte to succumb to death, allowing them to split the newly freed land equally among the two.
The oldest and wisest, hahahaha Primary, wise, what a joke, the oldest and wisest primaries admitted that never had the primaries themselves been more prosperous and thriving than under the rule of the dragons. The Astral system was a mess, divided, disorganized, a shell of its former self. The Astral system itself harkened back to the glory days. The Primaries were laying waste to one of the most beautiful planetary systems in the entire Galaxy.
The Primaries had gone against any advice given to them by their dragon slaves. They had ravaged plundered and killed without account and now it had come back to bite them in the ass. The Primaries as a species were stretched thin, lacking a central control system, the divided factions were falling apart, free to pick on each other, the primaries were as much a harm to themselves as anyone else.
Meanwhile, Krog, being isolated on MP-Z was growing stronger and smarter at an unfathomable pace. Unaware of what the Primaries had done to the Astral system and to themselves. Krog was in every way preparing for war against an enemy he imagined to be stronger than the strongest dragons. Krog, in his mind, owing to the input he had received from the Razors and the memories of his Razor ancestors, had massively overestimated the Primaries and was therefore preparing accordingly. The Rozors memories in Krog’s mind turned out to be more potent than anyone could have anticipated. Krog learned about the Dragon’s second metamorphosis stage in order to master the fire powers. Even though Krog already possessed the ability to not only control and manipulate but also generate fire, he still burrowed deep within the surface of MP-Z cocooning only upon reaching the core of the planet. He stayed in the cocoon for a century as had been done by dragons of the past. Upon emerging from his second metamorphosis Krog felt little to no difference. Although he definitely felt refreshed, it didn’t feel like it had the last time, he didn’t feel much different.
Krog now set out desperately in search of any remaining dragons on MP-Z. he searched every inch of MP-Z but came back empty. During his search he discovered that the majority of the dragons had perished as a result of the impact and any little that survived the initial impact were unable to cope with the loss of their brethren. Especially saddened at losing their Queen, any and all survivors had died of hunger and grief. Krog was the last remaining descendant of the dragons on MP-Z. His army of Razors was loyal to the bone, considering Krog the leader they had been waiting for since the beginning. Krog set about gathering the remnants of any dragon technology that had survived the blast. Krog’s superior intellect made it much easier for him to understand the Dragon’s technology and start assembling his own equipment.
Krog started by assembling just one functional exploratory ship and sent a mission of Razors to Cruise around the Astral system to conduct an observe and report operation. Krog needed to know exactly what he would be going up against. Krog had absolute control over the Razors, effectively making them extensions of himself, perfectly under his control, totally under his command. The Razors were drones he could control remotely. The first mission was a success and Krog now had some estimated idea of the current state of the Astral system. He set about making a plan. At had become obvious to him that the best move forward is to attack Prima, subdue the Nora faction, the rest of the factions should follow suit. The takeover of Nora will also grant Krog access to not only the Dragon’s technology but also to the dragons being kept as slaves on Prima. Krog felt as if he was drawn towards the Dragons being held as slaves by the Primaries at Prima. He felt a sense of duty towards them, almost as if he were being called to help them. Krog was a warrior, a survivor, a battle-hardened beast by all means.
Smetha was a mega faction, born by the union on Reel, Tren and Sect, the three factions that had settled on Dortha. Something was happening on Dortha, Smetha had broken all contact with the rest of the Primaries and started co-existing peacefully among the native species of Dortha. The Mudders and Primaries had integrated and started living together in harmony, moving towards a better society. Although the primaries still considered themselves far superior to the Mudders, they had come to realize the potential and capabilities of the Mudders and had allowed them existence as more than slaves, rather as creatures free to roam around and make decisions of their own free will. This had put Dortha on the path to harmony and advancement. But there was something Smetha was hiding, deep within the heavily fortified palaces and castles of Dortha, Smetha was hiding and nurturing a secret. Something had happened, something that nobody before had thought possible.
