Legends of the Astral System

CHAPTER 7. KROG ADVANCES

Krog was preparing to set off on his mission to conquer the Astral System and start the expansion. Krog had an army of mind-controlled Razors working tirelessly, gathering any remaining dragon tech scraps and assembling the maximum number of functional ships to transport the Razor armies to Prima. (These Razors didn’t actually need ships, rockets, missiles, just anything with interplanetary capability that they can hang on to, no need for any special equipment or protection against the vacuum of space, these things can survive in the vacuum of space. But these guys are still at it trying to build massive and supremely intricate ships, for Krog of course. Krog obviously needs protection from space, right?) Krog had decided to start the campaign by attacking and taking over Prima first and then continue on to Dortha and Decca. Taking control of Prima will not only give Krog access to the dragon’s technology but also allow him to rescue the enslaved dragons.

KROG most powerful

Before setting off on the quest, Krog decided to test the limits of his powers. Krog took off, going straight up, higher and higher. He kept going until he broke through the planet’s joke of an atmosphere. Exposed to space, Krog felt an uneasiness in his body, he felt his body being stretched and ripped apart, he was almost certain he was about to die. He was about to lose consciousness and black out, but Krog was transforming, the vacuum of space had triggered the abilities Krog had gained as a result of his cocoon time in MP-Z’s core. Krog transformed into an absolutely massive, black dragon. He was not only able to survive the vacuum of space but straight up fly through it. Krog could literally just take off and fly to Prima without needing any external help. Krog now had some idea of the extent of his abilities. Krog set off, along with his armies of Razors with the intent to capture and dominate Prima and eradicate all signs of Primaries from it.

Meanwhile:

The Primaries had absolutely no idea what was coming their way. Nora, the faction in control of Prima was starting to fall apart. There were huge rifts within Nora. Nora had bitten off more than it could chew and their leadership had realized that they couldn’t maintain control over all the land they possessed for much longer without the help of the other factions. Most of the Nora population had banded together in certain population centers, leaving more than 97% of the inhabitable area of Prima uninhabited and abandoned. Their mining expeditions had also taken a huge toll on Nora in terms of lives lost. Nora had last a massive number of primaries in the line of their mining missions.

When Krog arrived at Prima, he was faced with little to no resistance from Nora. The Razors under Krog’s command proved to be absolute killing machines, devastating and destroying anything that stood in their way. The Primaries of Nora were caught completely off guard and overwhelmed by Krog’s armies before they even got a chance to regroup or even inform the other Primary factions of the incoming threat. Krog acted quickly, wasting no time killing any Primary encountered by him and his armies. The massacre was unlike any seen before. Only a few primaries from the Nora faction, the ones that were off-planet survived, due to sheer luck, rest all were killed. The takeover of Prima had given Krog complete control over all the Dragon technologies. But there was something much more valuable that Krog got from Prima. The enslaved dragons at Prima were elated to see a dragon and that too, such a majestic one, but they were also perplexed to see a dragon leading an army of Razors. What was even more surprising to the Dragons was seeing the Razors fighting with such motivation, such planned moves, such an execution, this was not the Razors they remembered.

DORTHA

Dortha was turning into quite the prosperous civilization. Primaries and Mudders co-existing in harmony. The primaries at Dortha had been unsuccessful in acquiring any meaningful dragon technologies. Although Smetha were far more capable than the primaries of the past, Nora had kept the most advanced and powerful dragon technologies and all the enslaved dragons. Still, the integration of the Mudders into the primary faction had brought about a peaceful co-existence. The Mudders had proved to be helpful not only as manual labor but they had also opened up new avenues of learning and wisdom for the Smetha faction. Smetha and the Mudders, collectively the Dorthans were a self-sustaining, growing society. Dortha was turning out to be a picture-perfect civilization. An elite council composed of both Primaries and Mudders looked over the affairs of Dortha. The council was headed by a Primary-supreme. The Primary-supreme throne being passed down through generations effectively being a Kingship.

Over at Prima, the newly freed dragons had accepted Krog not only as their rightful king, but also the rightful heir to the Herculean throne. By the time Krog had been able to get to them only a few of dragons were left. Even though they had been quick to accept Krog as their king they held firm on their belief against inter specie fraternization. Although Krog felt disappointed, he had thought that the Dragons would be quick to accept the Herculean blood, but he was not to be deterred. The handful of dragons that were left were now on a time crunch to fertilize and lay as many eggs possible. The freed dragons were mostly old and weak with some on the verge of death. Krog collectedly as many eggs as he could and immediately dispatched them back to MP-Z for incubation. A battalion of Razors protecting them around through clock during the journey and through the incubation period.

Krog still desperately needed to save as many freed dragons as he could so they would be able to pass down their knowledge and wisdom to the next generation of dragons. The dragons, understanding that they might not have much time left started about teaching and transferring all their knowledge to Krog. The Dragons taught Krog about the history of the dragon race, they taught him about the history of the Astral system, the Primaries, the Mudders and everything they could. Krog was now preparing to take on Dortha and Decca. While Krog was learning from the dragons, his reconnaissance missions from Dortha and Decca had revealed to them their current state.

Krog dispatched a massive army of Razors to take Decca. Of the three factions originally on Decca, only two remained. Forte had been completely wiped out, unable to cope with the harsh conditions of Decca. The remaining two factions of Melog and Thresa had resisted, but the need to survive had forced them to band together. They had joined together, albeit reluctantly, into a single faction calling themselves the Primadorians and their faction the Primadora. Although the two factions had banded together a single one, they were still barely surviving. The weather conditions at Decca had proven to be unpredictably abrupt and the primary factions had been unable to successfully cope with them. Of the millions and millions of Primaries that had originally arrived on Decca, the population had now shrunk down to barely a few hundred thousand. They had settled in a modest city at a location where water was just under the surface and they could drill just enough to barely survive. Their survival was stretched thin.

The primaries at Decca were se pre-occupied with survival that they had lost all contact with the other planets a long time ago and no idea about the recent developments. When Krog had taken over Prima, the primaries of the Nora faction at Prima-ces and Prima-tres had tried to alert the others at Decca and Dortha but the Razor’s under Krog’s command were quick, precise and effective. Upon landing on Prima, they had immediately started seizing control of any and all interplanetary travel capable ships, learned Nora’s trade routes, studied their flight logs, learning exactly how many mining ships were out and sent missions to hunt and retrieve all the primaries of the Nora faction that were off planet. Krog’s Razors had caught up to them before they had had time to react. Krog had been so quick and decisive in his takeover of Prima that the primaries at the other planets had no idea what was happening. The Primaries at Decca and Dortha were totally oblivious to Krog’s takeover of prima and had no idea of what was coming for them.
